A financial analyst resume example with model scope, forecast accuracy and dollars influenced — how FP&A hiring managers separate report-runners from decision-drivers.

Fictional example for illustration — names, employers and numbers are invented, but every bullet follows the honest formula: action + scope + verifiable result. Never copy claims you can't defend in an interview.

Size the money you touch

Division revenue, spend consolidated, savings identified — every bullet should carry a dollar figure, because your job is literally to quantify.

Forecast accuracy is your batting average

Report the error rate before and after your model changes. "Cut forecast error 7% → 3%" is the single most convincing FP&A line.

Show decisions, not decks

Reports are table stakes; name the decision your analysis drove ("closed 2 nodes, $4.1M/yr"). That is what separates analyst from senior analyst.
