RezUp vs Novorésumé: what we found testing it ourselves
We created a Novorésumé account and walked its full flow (August 2026). Credit where due: the free Basic plan really does let you download a watermark-free PDF, its pre-download review flags real ATS issues, and Premium ($21.99/month, $39.99/quarter or $139.99/year) is explicitly non-recurring — no auto-renewal trap. The limits are structural: Basic stores exactly one resume, capped at a single page, with no cover letter and only predefined layouts; downloads are gated behind an account with email code verification; and your resume lives on their servers, with the PDF rendered server-side. RezUp needs no account, keeps your resume in your browser and generates the PDF and DOCX locally, allows unlimited pages and unlimited saved copies, and includes cover letter and interview-prep tools — one-time pricing, currently free during beta.
- No account or email code needed to download — Novorésumé gates downloads behind a verified account
- Your resume never leaves your browser: local PDF/DOCX generation vs server-side rendering
- Unlimited saved resume copies and pages free — the free Basic plan stores one single-page resume
- DOCX and plain-text export included — Novorésumé exports PDF or TXT only
- One-time pricing ($9.99/$19.99 when billing opens) vs $21.99/month Premium (non-recurring, to its credit)
Competitor pricing and free-tier limits last re-verified against their public pricing pages: August 2026.
Free during beta: every plan is fully unlocked at no charge — editor, ATS templates, match score, AI tools and PDF/DOCX downloads. Plans are $9.99/$19.99 one-time when billing opens. No card, no auto-renewal, nothing that renews.
