RezUp vs Resume Worded: what we found testing it ourselves
We created a Resume Worded account and walked its full flow (August 2026). Credit where due: its free Targeted Resume tool really does compare your resume to a job description at no charge, with a relevancy score, found/missing keyword counts and a side-by-side view — a genuinely useful free tool. The catches: it is a checker, not a builder (templates are Word/Google Docs downloads); the free resume score locks several checks (Leadership, Communication, Teamwork and more) plus the full report behind Pro; scoring requires an account and your resume is uploaded to their servers; the signup form pre-checks a weekly email subscription; and Pro is a recurring subscription at $49/month, $33/month billed quarterly, or $19/month billed yearly against a $75 strikethrough anchor. RezUp is a full builder plus checker: your resume stays in your browser, the entire ATS report is free with no locked checks, and no account or email is needed — one-time pricing, currently free during beta.
- Full builder + checker in one — Resume Worded checks resumes but sends you to Word/Google Docs templates to edit
- Every check in the ATS report is free — Resume Worded locks several recruiter checks and the full report behind Pro
- Your resume never leaves your browser — Resume Worded requires an account and uploads your resume to score it
- No pre-checked email subscriptions — their signup form opts you into a weekly email by default
- One-time pricing ($9.99/$19.99 when billing opens) vs a $19–$49/month recurring subscription
Competitor pricing and free-tier limits last re-verified against their public pricing pages: August 2026.
Free during beta: every plan is fully unlocked at no charge — editor, ATS templates, match score, AI tools and PDF/DOCX downloads. Plans are $9.99/$19.99 one-time when billing opens. No card, no auto-renewal, nothing that renews.
